The course provides a foundation for a range of careers including nursing, radiography, speech therapy, children’s nursing, occupational therapy, podiatry, primary teaching, social work, operating department practitioner, mental health and dental nursing. It also enables access to higher education degrees.
Health and Social Care Level 3 Diploma
The focus of the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is in delivering physical and emotional support, enabling Care to clients whether in Health & Social Care, public, private or voluntary sectors.
The Health and Social Care Level 3 Diploma course is designed to be relevant to learners who will be delivering Care; often without direct supervision, demonstrating a degree of responsibility and autonomy and making decisions within previously agreed boundaries.The course is planned so that you can learn about the caring community, including various groups and organisations working with those who have a have a disability, young individuals, vulnerable adults and older people with a range of needs, in a variety of different settings.
This vocational course will prepare you for jobs in the Health and Social Care sector such as support/care workers. It can also lead on to higher education in Health and Social Care sector or onto further study at University to gain qualifications in nursing, physiotherapy, or social work, studying at degree level.
