  3. Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language;
  4. Qualifications are checked before enrolment by the institution where you’ll apply;
  5. Students must bring their original diploma when coming for registration;

Government Founds – Student Finance England                                                                                                        

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on Indefinite stay, you can receive support from the government via Student Loan Company to cover tuition fees and some living costs while studying, depending on your circumstances. Tuition fee loans, to cover the full cost of your course, are paid directly to the course provider. Maintenance loans can be applied for at the same time, lending you money at the start of each term. You won’t have to pay back the loan until after your course, when you’re earning above a certain level.  Students can still apply for grants if they’re eligible for certain benefits, disabled, or need help with childcare costs.

If you are interested in a systems development and management career and currently hold a Foundation Degree or HND (Higher National Diploma) or equivalent, the BSc (Hons) Applied Computing (Top-Up) allows you to gain a full undergraduate degree within one year of study.

Students study intensively over one year to build the advanced programming, web development, systems analysis and networking skills required by graduate employers.

You will study a wide range of topics, from systems development and strategic systems management, to social and current issues in computing, and professional management and practice. You will also complete a case project, which will provide you with the opportunity to apply all of your existing skills to a substantial software development problem. You will be taught using a range of methods, including: lectures, seminars, and practical workshops, where you will develop your skills in specialist computing laboratories. Each module of study is assessed by coursework assignments or end-of-module examinations or both.

The individual project may be initiated by the University, the student, or an external client and consists of an end product and a report explaining and evaluating the project process. All modules have some elements of practical work, the majority of which require the use of computer systems.
